They are the pacesetters for the transition from “Made in China” to “Created in China”.

　　In his research, Wang Liping found that although specialized manufacturing champions have strong innovation ability and technological advantages, they generally have many problems. For example, innovative products are rated highly by professionals but unpopular with consumers and marketing is difficult. “In particular, some technologies that have been monopolized by foreign countries for a long time are hard to be shaken at once due to their ineradicable background and influence. As a result, outcomes of our independent innovation are often elbowed out, suppressed, or even strangled in the early stage of market promotion. There is an urgent need for greater support at the national level.”

　　Wang Liping suggests the government strongly support the promotion and application of innovative products of specialized manufacturing champions, implement demonstration projects for the application of innovative products, strongly support the pilot application of innovative products, reduce barriers to the application of innovative products, and establish a scientific fault-tolerant mechanism, so that innovative products of specialized manufacturing champions get the chance to “take the stage”.

　　In addition, in his research, Wang Liping found that the types and amounts of government subsidies for innovative projects are not large, while private innovative enterprises need large amounts of funds to support their research and development, innovation, technology transfer and technology upgrading. Therefore, Wang Liping suggests the government increase subsidies and support for original enterprises in the process of innovation and broaden the financing channels.

　　“On the one hand, the government can guide financial institutions to provide low-cost, medium - and long-term financing products for these innovative enterprises, giving them practical financing support; on the other hand, by establishing government-guided funds, the government can increase the supply of venture capital, helping enterprises realize open innovation with the help of external innovation resources.” Wang Liping said.

　　Wang Liping suggests the government establish a "screening + guiding + matchmaking" three-in-one big data platform, on which upstream and downstream information symmetry is achieved by integrating project resources and industry resources, while technology enterprises are guided and matched to the right customers, so as to accelerate the process of industrial independence and domestic substitution in more industrial fields. “At the same time, a regulatory and feedback mechanism should be established. The regulatory mechanism should be combined with the big data platform. It should not only allow a certain failure rate in innovative projects, but also be open and transparent, so that every innovative project is exposed to social supervision and government regulation.” Wang Liping said.
