Good News! Company's Project on "Key Technology Development and Industrialization of Ultrafine Metal Powders for High-Capacitance and Small-Size MLCC" Wins Second Prize of Ningbo Science and Technology Progress Award

Recently, the Ningbo Municipal People's Government officially announced the 2024 Ningbo Science and Technology Award winners. The Company's project "Key Technology Development and Industrialization of Ultrafine Metal Powders for High-Capacitance and Small-Size MLCC" was awarded the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award.

Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC), among the most widely used passive components in modern electronic devices, have seen high performance and miniaturization become an inevitable trend in industry development. Ultrafine metal powders, as the core material for MLCC inner electrodes, have had their preparation technology long monopolized by foreign enterprises, creating a critical bottleneck constraining the development of China's high-end MLCC industry.

After years of technical攻关, the Company's R&D team successfully broke through the scaled preparation technology of ultrafine metal powders—particularly the industrialized production of nano-nickel powders with particle sizes of 100 nm and below—resolving technical challenges including broad particle size distribution, easy agglomeration, and poor dispersibility. The metal powders developed by the project have achieved internationally advanced levels in particle size control, morphology regulation, and surface modification, capable of meeting the stringent requirements of high-capacitance, small-size MLCC for inner electrode materials.

The "Ningbo Science and Technology Award" is one of the highest honors in Ningbo's science and technology field, designed to recognize individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to scientific and technological progress. The project's selection from numerous outstanding candidates for the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award fully demonstrates the municipal government and evaluation experts' high recognition of the Company's technological innovation capabilities and industrialization achievements.
